According to the Vice President of Research and Technology of the University of Guilan, the journal "Livestock Production Research" of the University of Guilan, which was the first Persian-language journal in the field of animal science in the country, had succeeded in obtaining the Scopus international index within less than a year managed to get the impact factor from this database and obtained the quartile (Q4).

It is worth mentioning that the journal "Livestock Production Research" under the franchise of the University of Guilan started its activity in April 2013 and published the first issue in the spring of the same year. This journal, which is published quarterly, won a scientific-research award from the National Scientific Publications Review Commission in 21/12/2012, and since the winter of 2016 until now, the acceptance, refereeing, and publication of articles in the abovementioned journal have been done electronically via the website of the publication at https://ar.guilan.ac.ir.

 It should be mentioned that based on the evaluation of the Islamic World Science Reference Database (ISC) in 2016, the Journal of Animal Production Research obtained the first national rank among Persian journals in the field of animal science and based on the evaluation of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology It has been rated "A" in the last two years. Also, the mentioned publication is indexed in many international scientific databases such as INDEX COPERNICUS, DOAJ CABI, Google Scholar, AGRIS, and Scopus.
