The meeting of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Sea Region Countries (ASUCRC) was hosted by the University of Guilan on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Presidents of the Iranian members of ASUCRC, the vice president of international relations of the International Scientific Cooperation Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, participating in this meeting, discussed issues ranging from the activity reports of the member universities and research centers, the presentation of the targeted achievements in the previous meeting, mutual thinking and exchange of ideas on the requirements of participation of Iranian members in the 25th General Assembly of the Association.

Also, the periodic president of the Association and the rector of the Kalmyk State University, as well as the vice-rector of international activity of the Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, Russian Federation, were among the international guests of this meeting. Dr. Badma Katinovich Salaev (chairman of the ASUCRC) mentioned the Association as a unique opportunity to expand and strengthen interregional and international cooperation and reminded that the Universities have become a place for holding scientific and scientific-practical events and unite the scientific and educational community of universities and research centers of Caspian region countries. He also appreciated the University of Guilan for its assistance provided in solving the problem of recruiting a Persian language teacher at the Kalmyk State University and evaluated the performance of the entrusted teacher as successful. Moreover, Dr. Angelina Fadina (vice-rector of international activity of the Astrakhan Tatishchev State University) introducing the performance of this university as the head of the Science, Research, and Technology Committee of the Association, acknowledged that the endeavors of young scientists should be supported more, and hoped that the science, research, and technology committee will be an important basis for the development of scientific collaboration between researchers of the Association and will enrich our universities with new knowledge as a bridge for friendly relations.
