University of Guilan ranked 198th in 2019 UI Green Metric World University Rankings and achieved the 3rd place among 22 of Iranian universities participating in the Green Metric Ranking.

UI Green Metric World University Rankings was established in April 2010 in order to Shaping Global Higher Education and Research in Sustainability, Creating Global Sustainability Leaders and Partnering on Solutions to Sustainability Challenges.

This year 780 university from 85 countries across the world participated in UI Green Metric Ranking. Wageningen University in Netherland, Oxford University and Davis university in USA are ranked 1^st to 3^rd in 2019 UI Green Metric World University Rankings.
