A.K. Haghi is Professor of Engineering at the University of Guilan, Iran. His research interest now includes the development of nanofiber technologies, green composites and different aspects of heat and mass transfer in porous media.
He has written about 1000 original articles, 250 monographs, and 170 chapters in 40 volumes. It is apparent from this work that he has made valuable contributions to the theory and practice of Chemical Engineering, Heat and Mass Transfer, Porous Media, Industrial Drying, Polymers, Nanofibers and Nanocomposites.
Dr Haghi is Editor-In-Chief of International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering and Editor-In-Chief of Polymers Research Journal. He is member of many editorial boards of journals published in U.S.A. He is Senior Editor of Apple Academic Press (Canada).
He served as associate member of University of Ottawa and was a member of Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr Haghi takes pleasure in educating students by allowing freedom of thought. An independent and creative mind is highly encouraged in his laboratory.
He has two principles that have never been violated in his career:
i : He has open-door policy and no matter how busy he is, whenever a student appears at his doorstep, he stops his own work and make himself available; and
ii: students can criticize him without fear of being penalized.
Dr Haghi"s professional career began as head of Engineering Department at Shahroud University in October 1983. He held several senior positions in industrial sectors.
