Education

2010- Ph.D. (Animal Biosystematics) - from the University of Tehran, Iran.

Ph.D. Thesis: A biosystematic approach to the basal cestodes of dominant elasmobranchs from the Iranian waters of the Persian Gulf, Hormozgan province (This thesis was selected as the best PhD thesis of the college of science in the 19th research festival of the University of Tehran).

Supervisors: Professor Masoumeh Malek (University of Tehran) and Professor Harry W. Palm (Heinrich-Heine-University, Germany).

2005 – M.Sc. (Animal Biosystematics) - from the University of Tehran, Iran.

M.Sc. Thesis: Ecology of tapeworms in the shark, Carcharhinus dussumieri from the Persian Gulf with scanning electron microscopy of some species.

Supervisors: Professor Masoumeh Malek and Professor Iradj Mobedi (University of Tehran)

2002 – B.Sc. (Zoology) - from the University of Tabriz, Iran.

Awards:

- One-year fellowship for the publication of the second edition of the book “The Trypanorhyncha Diesing, 1863” at the University of Rostock, Germany. This fellowship was a cooperation with Professor Harry W. Palm.

-The uppermost rank of the written exam taken for the first time in Iran for the acceptance of Ph.D. candidates in Animal biosystematics.

-Six-month fellowship (8,000 Euro) from Iranian ministry of science and technology for attendance in the University of Heinrich-Heine-University, Germany.

-The best PhD thesis of the college of science in the 19th research festival of the University of Tehran
