Mehdi Sheykhan

Biography

Mehdi has completed his Ph.D degree under the supervision of Prof. Akbar Heydari and advisory of Prof. Ali Morsali. His thesis was concerned with “The Synthesis of Nano Catalysts Supported on Magnetic Cores and Their Applications in Organic Reactions”. Winning The Prize of Chemistry Olympiad of Iran, gaining The First Rank in National Entrance Exam for MSc in Organic Chemistry among 9500 participants, being awarded as Distinguished student in all BSc, MSc and PhD levels and being A member of INEF (Iran’s national Elite’s Foundation), to name but a few, are among his scientific achievements. His research interests focus on "Mixed-metal MOF catalysts", "Designing novel org-inorg hybrid catalysts and devising organic methodologies which can be promoted by these catalysts", "Electrochemical-driven/light-induced catalytic systems", "Innovating new routes for the synthesis of organic molecules using homogeneous catalysts" and "Synthesis of small drug molecules".
