Biography

I started my work in the field of antibody engineering at Biotechnology Department of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. My work involved antibody engineering, recombinant antibody expression and monoclonal antibody characterization. I continued my research in the Fox Chas Cancer Center in USA in another prominent antibody engineering lab since March 2012. During my doctoral and post doctoral training at that institute I learned additional antibody engineering techniques such as phage display and have gained very valuable experience in antibody production, engineering and functional characterization. The main focus of my research was about improved bi-scFvs against Mullerian substance type II Receptor (MISIIR) and its co-receptors (ALK families). I have listed briefly my research skills and experiences which I could earned in different labs since 10 years ago.

- Recombinant antibody production and engineering techniques such as Phage Display and other engineering methods.

- Antibody/protein expression in different systems including mammalian cells such as CHO and 293 HEK cells, insect cells, and E.coli cells such as HB2151, BMH, BL21.

- Antibody/protein purification using different methods such as protein A, G and Ni-NTA.

- Antibody/protein biochemical characterization techniques such different types of ELISA, and Western Blot.

- Antibody binding and functional characterization methods including Octet method, antibody indirect mechanisms such and ADCC, CDC, and direct mechanisms such as inhibition of proliferation.

- Molecular biological techniques such as RNA and DNA isolation, different types of PCR (Real-time PCR, Multiplex PCR, Nested PCR, SOE PCR and Mutagenesis PCR), enzyme digestions, ligation, cloning, sequencing preparation, bacteria transformation.

- Computer and software skills such as PyMol, Clone Manager, PowerStats, Popgene, Primer Plex 2, Primer premier, Beacon Designer, Bio-Edit and Sequencher.
