S. Masoud Moghaddas Tafreshi

Biography

Seyed-Masoud Moghaddas-Tafreshi was born in Tehran, Iran. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in 1992 and his PhD degree in 1995 both in electrical engineering from Vienna University of Technology, Austria. In 1993, he joined the Landis & Gyr Company, Austria, “division for energy management” for 4 years. In 1998, he became assistant Professor at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Department of Power Systems, Tehran City, Iran . In 2011, he promoted to the rank of associate Professor at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Department of Power Systems. Since February 2020, he is full Professor in the Power Engineering Department of University of Guilan in Rasht City, Iran. His main research fields are in the areas of resilient-oriented operation & planning of renewable energy systems. He has been postgraduate/ undergraduate advisor in these fields. He is author/co-author of three books and more than 200 published papers.
